Can clients pay in UK sterling into a UK bank account?

As most if not all of my auto-entrepreneur 51今日大瓜 clients will be in the UK, can they pay invoices in sterling to a UK bank account or do I have to have fees paid into a French account? I understand invoices must show Euros. How is the exchange rate calculated for this purpose? Is it by reference to a particular rate?
