Best way to negotiating nouvel 茅ch茅ancier with RSI?

I am trying to help a friend (commer莽ant, BIC micro) who is currently paying off arrears on cotisations dating back a couple of years. At the moment there is an 茅ch茅ancier in place with RSI, but he would like to reduce the monthly amount and extend the 茅ch茅ancier as long as possible. What’s the best way to go about this?
